Model designations

• Example: SIGMA 115 D 45
• Sigma - production series
• 115 - saw blade projection
• D - pointer to workpiece clamping by use of grippers
• 45 - cutting length in dm

Further designations

• A - machines without grippers; the program fence serves as a stop; no automatic panel infeed
• K, C, N, EC - equipped with program fence; differentiation when it comes to equipment characteristics, cutting height, the saw carriage´s feed and others
• P - feed by use of a lifting table

Since around 2004 SCM uses the following terms/designations:

• Sigma Prima - machines for use in craft and low volume production
• Sigma Impact - efficient machine equipment for serial production, multiple shift operation
• Sigma Plus - machines for industrial uses
• PLM - machines, conceived and equipped for cutting plastics
