The single shaft shredder WL 6s will be deployed for shredding bigger quantities of wooden waste. The machine is equipped with a 800 mm wide and quite hugely dimensioned robot. The rotor diameter amounts to 368 mm. High throughput capacities are held by the huge rotor and the wrap angle of the filtre. From 30 kW drive power the machine will be additionally equipped with a hydrodynamic start-up clutch for an automatic star-delta switch in order to ensure a smooth start-up of the robot even with a fully-fed hopper. The material feeding takes place via the hopper in front of a hydraulically operated drawer, which controlled the material independently from weight onto the rotating rotor. The shredding of the materials takes place between the rotor knife and an affixed counter knife. The drawer is furnished with wiping strips which prevents an undesired infeed between drawer and machine housing. The produced chips can be moved out of the machine through a suction cup or the feeding screw.
