Spindle tilt

The main discerning feature of spindle moulders is the tiltability of the router head. There are machines with fixed spindle, so-called "fixed moulders" and machines with tiltable spindle, so-called "tilted moulders".

If the spindle adjustment is performed manually, tilted moulders differ from fixed moulders by the second adjustable hand wheel.

Tilted moulders mainly differ among each other in the area where the spindle can be tilted in the direction of the spindle stop. For this, see the technical term spindle backward tiltable. There, you can also find information on the wide tilt area forward.
