Series of CNC-machining centres for handcrafts.

By launching the Artis series in 2003 Reichenbacher broke up with a decade-long tradition. Since the 1980s the first cantilever machine has been produced.

Despite the orientation on handcrafts and the market segment of low-priced CNC-machining centres the Artis-machines were (relatively) free configurable according to custom demands.

In 2005 the series was reworked. The Artis-series' second generation was named Artis-X. The previous design with its eye-catching curves has been replaced by more edged forms that remind on the Vision series.

At launch of the the Artis-X there were to model versions that only were different in the size of the working table. All machines already have been equipped qith a 5-axis-router head.

The Artis-X can be equipped with the controls Bosch PNC or Sinumerik 840D. As software, Campus NC Hops or Licom Alpha CAM can be used.
