At the "HOLZ-HANDWERK (wood crafts) 2012" trade fair, Brandt presented its new technical method, which is used for the processing of laser edges (coextruded edges) in order to generate an optical zero joint on edge banding machines.

In 2016 an optimated air Tec unit has been introduced on the in-house fair in Schopfloch and Calw. Advantages compared to the predecessor are the noise emission, which lies under the level of the machining unit, increased performance and less air consumption by a patented rotation air heater. Air inlet and outlet have been optimized as well.

• Activation by the means of hot compressed air
• Heated compressed air, coming from a slot die (located at a short distance from the pressure zone), blows directly on the rear of the gluing device.

Further development

For the door rebate gluing Brandt has especially further developed the zero-joint technology for the door construction. The manufacturing of the zero-joint is possible with Melamin and ABS edgematerial. ABS edges can be processed with a thickness up to 3mm. Thus, the shock sensitivity of the doors are improved and the quality is increased.
