Lineární měnič

Designation for certain types of tool changers on CNC- machining centres.

Linear tool changers are characterised by a row of change positions adjacent to each other, which must be approached by the working spindle, in order to facilitate the exchange and replacement of tools. In contrast to all other changer types there is no fixed change position here, to which the tool is brought by the changer. Instead, each tool has separate change position coordinates.

Linear tool changers are largely comparable with pickup tool changers. The only difference lies in the fact that linear tool changers also exist, which drive along a single axis only. This distinguishes them from pickup tool changers in the strictest sense.
