Abbreviation for 'Electronic Positioning System'. It is an electronic positioning system for the machine table of CNC machining centers with console or traverse tables, developed by Biesse.

The suction cups automatically move to the positions that were previously determined by the control. According to manufacturer´s information, a complete repositioning of the machine table is done in less than 30 seconds.

EPS is identifiable by the gray "box" on the side of each traverse, in immediate proximity to the handle. The "box" is the cover of the motor for the positioning of the suction cups.
