Central lubrication means, that within a machine or plant all lubrication spots are accessible from one spot, no matter where the lubrication elements are located. The lubrication will be led via leading hoses to the targeted spot. Advantages opposed to other lubricationWith correct programing a precisely dosed amount of lubrication can be added for the optimal point in time. Thus an optimal maintenance of the machine can be ensured. It can also be excluded that the machine can take damage through necessary lubrication by forgetfulness or negligence or even overall ignorance. Hence, such system increases the economy of a machine with the right application despite the higher costs. DisadvantageOne disadvantage is in the complexity of such systems. Hence the acquisition costs are comparably higher. With the wrong programming mistakes in maintenance may occur, which were more difficult to be detected, than e.g. the simple fact that a machine controller has forgot to execute the lubrication.
