The Innospann system has been already developed in the 1990's by a company of the same name as retorfitting possibility for CNC-machining centres. The system has both been available for machines with grid table as well as with console table.

The company Innospann has been taked over in the early 2000's by Schmalz, the system's name has been "Schmalz Innospann" since then.

Structure and function:

The Innospann system consists of a steel place with apertures for the vacuum as well as the double-affecting a circle-vacuum suction. The steel plate is available in various sizes and can be machine-specifically equipped for a firm installation.

The vacuum aperture of the panel are arranged in a grid so that the sucton in each arbitrary position is covering at least one vacuum aperture.

Unused apertures are going to be manually closed with magnetic cover caps.

The suction has a valve on the top side, which opens on pressure, in command.

Thus the suctions are affixed immediately at activation of the vacuum, but it's possible to put the workpiece on it and just through strong on-pressure the suction relaxes.
