The series "routech" are since 2017 different CNC-machining centres in the SCM-group which are predominantly designed for special usages, like in the milling field. Whereas it's not a newly introduced series, but only a series and type descriptions consisting of restructuring.

The desgination "routech" originally derived from the brand name by manufacturer of CTC srl from Sinalunga, which has been part of the SCM group since 1994.

From 2017 on a complete restructuring of the type desgination within the SCM-group took place, as well as by the machines from CTC.

Some of the former "Routech" machines received designations in which this name didn't exist any more, e.g. , Routech Oikos turnt into the SCM Oikos series.

With the rest of the machines the previous designations have remained, only SCM has been put in front, e.g. with the SCM routech Chronos.
