The series "MINIMAX F" is since 2017 in the SCM-group a term for thickness planer. It's not a newly introduced series, but merely a destructuring of consisting series and type designation.

The designation MINIMAX derives originally from the manufacturer of the same name of carpentry machines, which is part of the SCM group.

From 2017 a complete restructuring of the type desgination within the SCM group took place.

The label of the original manufacturer stays with the model name. So for example a MINI-MAX FS 41 ELITE S turned into a SCM MINIMAX F 41ES.
