Drilling unit, which can be used on CNC-machining centres by REICHENBACHER.

The drilling unit has been initally developed in the early-2000's especially for the machines of the ARTIS series; a series which have been designed for buyers from the furniture production field and their handicraft.

As Reichenbacher has up until then constructed machines for the stair construction and similar which has been equipped customar-specific, no standardized and thus cheap drilling heads with several drills for the 32 mm hole series typical for furniture construction have been available.

Equipment:

• 18 vertical drilling spindles, which have been arranged in an L-shape in a 32 mm grid:
• 10 spindles in x-direction and
• 9 spindles in y-direction (1 spindle an be used in both directions)
• 6 horizontal spindles in +/- X-direction
• 6 horizontal spindles in +/- Y-direction
• 1 groove saw D=80 mm, 90° pivotable. In some early variation there have also been two affixed groove saws each in x and y.
