This keeps the safety enclosure always vertically above the saw blade during manually lifting and lowering. However, it also has an automatic lateral shifting device. If the operator tilts the saw blade via the machine controls, the support of the saw blade cover moves pneumatic forwards or backwards, depending on whether the saw blade is tilted backwards or front. This saves the operator the additional adjustment of the safety enclosure and prevents incorrect settings, which can lead to damage the safety enclosure. A prerequisite is that the width rear panel of the protective safety enclosure is inserted. SCM offers the AP system for all sliding table saws with the addition "si x" in the type designation.
