SCM RECORD 110

Short description

CNC-machining centre of the entry-level, which is produced by SCM since 2002, and which has ever since undergone a regular facelift.

In 2002, the model Record 110 was introduced on the market - as a complement to the newly introduced entry model Record 100. It was a machine with matrix table and a working range of 2.690 (X) x 940 mm (Y). The traveling way of the Z-axis, with 300 mm, has also been increased, compared to the model Record 100. The passage height was, similar to this model, 150 mm. The aggregates support was the same as in the Record 100; but there were also various options offered.

Basic equipment

  • Working spindle Power 2000 with 6.6 kW (7.5 kW optional)
  • 8-fold disc tool changer, which was arranged as traveling in X.
  • Optionally, the machine could be equipped with a drilling unit with 5 vertical and 4 horizontal drills, as well as a groove saw traversable by 90 degrees.
  • The control was based on a computer with the new Xilog Plus software.

Revisions within the model series

Already in 2003, there was a first revision of the model series. Since the smaller model, Record 100, with its working depth did not correspond to customer needs, its Y-axis has been extended by 100 mm - the working table was widened to 960 mm. So, however, the current width of the model Record 110 was reached. This also got an enlarged Y-axis and a working table with a width of 1.200 mm. To distinguish it from the earlier version, this model was named Record 110S.

Since 2003, the Record 110 is also offered with pod and rail table under the name Record 110TV.

The basic equipment has been improved:

  • Even in the basic version the working spindle had a power of 7.5 kW, optionally, motors with 11 or 15 kW were available.
  • The tool changer was extended to 12 exchange positions.

The aggregates support was now available in two configurations:

Configuration A with the already existing drilling aggregate as well as a horizontal milling aggregate K2
Configuration B with a new drilling aggregate with 12 vertical and 6 horizontal drills as well as an additional sawing unit, which was either traversable by 90 degrees or equipped with an additional C-axis

Optionally available was the TRK tool changer with 3 exchange positions for particularly large angular aggregates or tools with particularly large diameter.

In 2003, the system of available safety devices was also extended. The Record 110 was now available in:

Version A with light barrier
Version B with shut-off mat

In 2005, the model series was again revised. In the course of the new model policy, the Record 110 series was divided into the models Action Line and NT. For now, the model Action Line was launched. It was, corresponding to the Action Line concept, offered with a small number of options. However, for the first time, 3 different table lengths were available:

  • 3.050 mm (model M)
  • 4.250 mm (model L)
  • 6.050 mm (model XL)

The aggregates support was equipped with a fixed configuration:

  • Router head 8.5 kW
  • 12-fold disc tool changer traveling in X and Y
  • Drilling aggregate with 12 vertical and 6 horizontal spindles
  • Groove saw fixed in X

Also, the Record 110AL was available as model Record 110 AL TVN with pod and rail table.

In 2006, the model Record 110 NT was presented. It was also available with matrix or pod and rail table of the following sizes:

  • 3.050 mm (model M)
  • 4.250 mm (model L)
  • 6.050 mm (model XL)

The aggregates support had 3 mounting slots, one of which was fixedly mounted with the working spindle. For one slot, ride-along tool changer with 12, 16 or 24 exchange positions were available. The other slot could be equipped with:

  • Drilling units with 11, 18 or 26 spindles
  • The pneumatically, about a C-axis tiltable sawing aggregate, which was available since 2003
  • The horizontal K2 aggregate

For the first time, SCM offered 3 different application profiles in addition to working spindles with different powers:

In 2008, the modell Record 110AL Prisma was introduced, which had a 5-axis router head as the working spindle. The aggregates support had only one additional slot, e.g. for a drilling aggregate. The tool changer is traveling along in X, and mounted at the end of the cantilever. All the other options are similar to the model 110AL.
