High Pressure Laminate

Short description

Extremely hard, mouldable and decoratively designable laminate, which is laminated from several layers of special paper impregnated with synthetic resin or melamine under high temperature and high pressure. The reverse side is usually sanded ready for gluing in order to be further processed, e.g. using a veneer press. HPL is used in furniture and interior construction in areas where, among other things, high impact resistance, heat resistance and moisture resistance are required.

Processing

HPL can be machined with panel saws and on CNC-machining centres if tools with diamond cutting edges are used.
