History

2023

Production is located exclusively in Germany in Ilsfeld ( Baden-Wuerttemberg) and Annaburg (Saxony-Anhalt) on more than 44,000 sqm. The company employs around 300 people worldwide. Sales and service centres are located in Europe, the USA, South America, India and the Far East.

2008

Acquisition of Votecs.

2004

VOTECS emerges from the firm Gross. Nestro and Gross cooperate intensively since 2002. Gross gets into financial difficulties. Nestro takes over Gross. Then the name 'Gross' is bought of Nestro's rival Weima and thus Nestro tales over the plans of Gross and builds from that point on under the name Votecs Nestro Brikettierpressen/Zerkleinerer - parallel to the resurrected company Gross, which has now been taken over by Weima.

2004

Weima should be the world leader in shredders. Very strong in the USA. 52% of its sales are in the area of plastic!

2000

Acquisition of RSN, including the areas service and spare parts.

1992

They experiment in the field of plastic and have bitter setbacks. But over the 90 years they developed this second foothold beside the wood industry to a main pillar.

1989

The fitter Mr. Gross becomes self-employed and sells since then 'Gross chopper' in competition.

1989

Taking over the company Reinbold, which produced choppers. A short time later they sell it again.

1986

The first elements of the hit series WL4 are probably built. Zeno was presumely one of the first who built the shredder with pusher.

1985

Company is newly established by Mr. Rössler and the success story begins. Mr. Roessler invents the sledge chipper.

1982

Bavarian State Prize for inventing the first hydraulic briquette press.

1972

Establishment.
