Construction series for the wood and furniture industry since 1955

FKA 1955 first wide belt sander with roller / pad; success model (surface contact sanding machines) has been sold worldwide as Carstens FKA.
OFZ Gets to the market in 1982 (modular built, can be equipped depending on the requirements and sanding tasks in trade and industry), production up to the late 1990s.
600 Entry model with 1-2 aggregates, working width 1100 and 1350mm.
1000 'Standard machine' for small and medium enterprises, 1-3 bands, constant sanding height, 1100 and 1350mm.
2000 Introduction of cross sanding technique in crafts machines, up to 3 aggregates.

Aggregate names

Large Contact Roller unit Calibration aggregate with steel rollers or rubber rollers in different degrees of hardness.
Pillow unit Also: sanding pad assembly - electrical-mechanical-controlled air pad, 80mm wide, with different hard felt pads (option: segmented pressing technique).
Combined aggregate With steel or rubber rollers and air cushion pad or segmented pressure pad (formerly MCS-segmented pressure pad, up to 2010: ISA - System).
KS Cross belt unit for standard applications, blades and grinding belts are running on the same, lower pulleys; compact technical type with 2 pulleys.
Q Cross belt unit 'serious' type for high technical standards, great flow rates, independently arranged and driven chevron belt via more than 3 pulleys (difference to aggregate KS), sanding belt length 6100mm.
Cutterblock Also planer - for material removal up to 3mm, Newman Cutter.
Brushing aggregates For grinding, polishing, dusting, sorting.

Patent issued for 'Weber ES': Electronically controlled energy-saving workpiece blow.

Patent issued for the Weber segmented pressure pad with freely moving pieces.

New electronic pad principle is invented and patented (MCS or ISA system).

Presentation of the newly developed wood sanders of the series OFZ.

The company Carstens is taken over by the company Raimann Freiburg. The connection with the company Weber comes to an end. Weber is building wood sanders on its own. Up to 1979 Raimann builds cylindrical sanding machines.

1960

Mr. Carstens dies in plane crash.

1955

Construction of the first wide belt sander with combined aggregate (sanding roller and driven pad).

about 1930

Since then, design and construction of mechanical control gears (continuously variable V-belt transmission).

1928

Registration of Hans Weber Maschinenfabrik in the commercial register.

1922 - 1924

Establishing its own premises.

Construction of sanding machines in the Kronacher machine factory Endres.

20th century

At the beginning design and construction of the first cyl drum sander for the local slate industry with the term 'independent sander' (predecessor of the wide belt sander ). Mr. Weber and Mr. Carstens get to know each other: Carstens build machines under his name at Weber's and thus sells the 'Weber / Carstens Maschinen'' world wide.
