In the course of events of the concentration of the two production locations in Germany (Tauberbischofsheim-Hobeltechnik und Freiburg-Auftrenntechnologie) the board of the WEINIG AG decided to discontinue the work operation of the Waco Jonsereds AB/ Halmstad, Sweden.

In the business area of 'cutting' (Raimann, Dimter, Luxscan) Herr Dr.-Ing. Johannes Mario Kordt substitutes Herrn Michael Holtmann after 7 years.

Umbrella brand WEINIG will be extended further: The Grecon Dimter Holzoptimierung Süd GmbH & Co. KG, responsible for optimisation mitre saws and glueing presses within the Weinig-group with work in Illertissen, which will be renamed Weinig Dimter GmbH & Co. KG in march. The Grecon Dimter Holzoptimierung Nord GmbH & Co. KG situated in Alsfeld/ Leine will be as Weinig Grecon GmbH & Co. KG on the market.

NKT is relocated to Alfeld, operating as Weinig Grecon GmbH & Co. KG; Luxscan opens second location for production and assembly in Hautcharage/ Luxembourg

2013

Weinig transfers component production for tools from Switzerland (Michael Weinig S.A., La Chaux-de-Fonds) to Tauberbischofsheim.

2011

With effect from the 1st of July 2011 Mr. Dr.-Ing. Otto Leible takes over the management of Weinig Concept GmbH & Co. KG. This way he succeeds Mr. Uwe Motzkau, who left the company on the 30th of April 2011. The site in Yantai, China, is extended to 12000 m². In the future the production of machines for window construction Weinig Unicontrol for the Chinese internal market is going to take place.
