manufacturer of edgebanders, edge processing machines and double end tenoners within the SCM Group, based in the italian Thiene.

History

2017

From 2017 on all machines in the SCM group under the manufacturer's name SCM are being marketed. Thus the CNC-machines by MORBIDELLI for example, the panel sizing machines by GABBIANI or the edgebanders by STEFANI are carrying the SCM logo. Old brands today stay as brandnames (e.g. SCM STEFANI EVO C 115).

at Stefani all edgebanders of the producers Mini-Max, Casadei Macchine S.r.l. Busellato S.p.A. and SCM were build

1992

SCM buys the factory of Stefani in Thiene and since then also the IDM machines were built there

1988

STEMAC is bankrupt and sold the company to the brother of Giorgio Stefani, who is building a group with Stemac, SAG SPA and Stefani (edgebanders); SbF Consult srl is founded by Giorgio Stefani as a successor company of the company STEMAC

1984

'Ott Waiblingen' goes into bankruptcy; new plant in Lambach

1970

Stemac does a great partnership with Paul Ott Ltd. in Waiblingen, and sells many machines under the name 'Ott'

60s

Radical change in production policy - as the first Italian company producing of edgebanders

1956

Establishment of the company and employment with workbenches
