Chain feed

Workpiece transport or workpiece feed is done by a feeding chain consisting of directly interconnected elements.

Moulders

Optional workpiece transporting system for continuous workpiece feed of extremely short workpieces.

Properties

  • Stable workpiece guide
  • High precision
  • Arranged above or laterally

Multiblade saw, double spindle ripsaw

Primarily by a feed chain arranged at the bottom. Alternatively, also by feed rollers for machines for sheet materials ( z.B. Paul multiblade saw K3)

Alternative names

  • Flat band feed

Double end tenoner, edgebander

Primarily by feeding chains arranged at the bottom, which are covered with workpiece friendly plastic elements and rubber pads. The counter pressure from above is generated by rubber rollers or double v-belt resp. top pressure by belt

Optimization cross cut saw

  • Feed by needle chain, see also chain feed: The workpiece feed by a so-called needle chain is supposed to be very precise and also ensures a safe transport of warped or otherwise problematic woods. The feed speeds are relatively low; it is a technically complex solution.

Parquet production

In the field of parquet production, chains with spikes are used in part as a feeding system. Workpieces, which are fixed in that way and which are guided exactly straight despite the cutting forces, ensure extremely low manufacturing tolerances.
