BIESSE ARTECH PRINTEX

As the demand for smaller and flexible CNC boring centres rose, the construction series "Printex" was launched on the market at the end of 2000.

At an early stage Skipper construction series by Biesse hat a very successful place on the market. Yet, these machines were far too expensive and large for crafts businesses.

Due to the lack of a suiting in-house development at that time, it was decided to offer a "printex" model, fabricated on the base of Vitap Point, with a different outer casing only.

Here the workpiece was fed horizontally and by means of a belt, lying divided on the workpiece; this in contrast to most similar machines, Biesse Skipper included, where Grippers were used for feeding.

The machine had a boring block with groove saw, processing the workpiece from below.

The development of Biesse Skipper V31 was finished around 2011, thus making available an in-house developped successor. Also Vitap announced thePoint2, so that the sale of the Printex series ceased at the latest in 2013.
