ALTENDORF POSITShort for: positioning control Technical types within the 1980s
With the positioning control CNC-controlled axes found their way into the field of Altendorf´s sliding table saws in the early 1990s. In 1993 the control panels were already equipped with screens displaying the nominal-/actual-values of all CNC axes. The operator guidance happened screen-assisted by use of a plain text display with 6 languages. In combination with c.a.t.s one created a data link to PC and software programs in the 1990s. With this equipment the machines got an interface which allowed reading of barcodes out of cutting plans. In the 2000s the technologies behind the concepts of POSIT and c.a.t.s. found their way into the ELMO production series. | ALTENDORF POSIT
