SCM Vector-axisA term used by the SCM group to describe the C-axis in CNC machining centers. The company Morbidelli introduced Vector in the early 1990s in machines of his Author series and used an interpolating separate C-axis in CNC machining centers for the first time. The rotational axis allows horizontal machining (sawing, drilling, milling) up to 360°. Automatically exchangeable angular aggregates are used. Workpieces can be processed with one setting. | SCM Vector-axis |
