HOMAG BAZ 232

Short description

CNC-machining centre, which was designed as portal machine and had a standard edgebanding aggregate. It was introduced by HOMAG in 2002 as an affordable alternative to the high-performance machines BAZ 120 and BAZ 220.

The series consists of the two versions:

  • Optimat BAZ 232 and
  • Optimat BAZ 131

Equipment

The machine had 2 independent work tables with separate Y-axes, which also could be coupled for processing large workpieces. The BAZ 131 could be equipped with the K-table, the GA-table as well as the AutoClamp-table. In contrast to the BAZ 131, this series had an own X-axis on both sides of the portal.

The machine was available as:

Optimat In this case, the aggregates support with the working spindle was mounted on one X-axis and the separate, firmly installed edgebanding aggregate on the second X-axis.
Profi line In this version, the machine had 2 independent working spindles as well as a firmly installed edgebanding aggregate.

The machine was offered with 2 table sizes:

  • 1.850 x 1.300 mm or
  • 1.850 x 1.600 mm
