Modular gluing system for the processing of EVA-glue and PU-adhesive on edge banding machines by Ott. It allows a quick and easy change of the premelting units (funnels).

CombiMelt essentially consists of a standardised interface between the glue application unit with a glue roller and the glue container (also called "funnel"). This is also the difference to normal quick change glue pots, where the glue tank and the application unit form an inseparable unit. This system allows the machine to be converted to different types or colours of glue by means of different glue change-over tanks. In addition, PU adhesive can be fed directly into the interface from an external melting unit via an optional hose connection.

There are four different versions of funnels available:

• 1.5-liter EVA hopper CM-F 15 with multiMelt-filling tube, basic feature of OTT TORNADO TOP
• 2.5-liter EVA hopper CM-F 25 with multiMelt filling tube, basic feature of the following machines
• OTT KANTOMAT
• OTT TWISTER
• OTT SHARK QUATTROLINE
• OTT PROFIMATIC and UNIMATIC from year of construction 2002.
• PUR-cartridge-hopper
• OTT WRT 125 2-kg-PUR-hopper for PUR blocks, so called round hopper
• OTT WPT 62 changing hopper for PUR patrons 62 mm, 300 g

CombiMelt includes the VarioMelt metering system.

With the marketing launch in 2002 the CombiMelt gluing system replaced the glue pot which usually lie beneath and gluing pots that lie above with Melt-Matic at OTT edgebanding machines.

Until 2017, the application unit was left in the press when the hoppers were replaced. Since 2017, the application unit can also be removed separately.

Accessories

In order to change easily between adhesive colour and adhesive type OTT has developed the CombiMELT Service Station. With its help, adhesive containers and application units can be cleaned, stored in a protective atmosphere and preheated.
