HOMAG BAK

Short description

Series of CNC-machining centres with edgebanding aggregate, which was introduced on the market by HOMAG in 2000. This series was designed as entry-level model for companies that mainly needed the edgebanding functionality of a machining center, but not the milling and drilling functions.

Facilities

The series BAK was equipped with a working spindle with aggregate interface for pneumatics and electronics as well as standard with the 360° gluing aggregate. All edges finishing units were as delivered as adapter assemblies. The working spindle was especially designed for the use of aggregates and therefore only offered a comparatively low power with 4.4 kW and low speed (1.500 - 12.000 r/min). Thus, it only had a limited suitability for milling.

The model BAK 31 differed from its "little brother" BAK 41 only because of

  • the offered table dimensions (4.800 and 6.800 mm in X, 1.600 mm in Y) and
  • a differently-designed roll magazine, which was arranged vertically and could hold a maximum of 6 edges roles.

The production of the BAK series has been discontinued after only a few years.
