VITAP POINT

Series of small horizontal CNC-machining centres and -drilling machines, which have been initially introduced in 2008. Minor changes have been made in 2010 with the "Edition 2010".

Simultaneously Vitap Point has been the first model generation whose successive model was called VITAP POINT 2.

The Vitap Point models are characterised by the movement of the X-axis not going through the unit carrier of the machine but the machine in X moving the workpiece and thus making the machine utterly space-saving.

Opposed to other comparable machines, the workpiece infeed doesn't take place through collets, but through belts. Thus, theoretically, an infinte amount of long workpieces can be processed. As the max. workpiece weight had been restricted to 30 kg, practically no uncommonly long workpieces could have been processed. This system has also been maintained with the successive model, but since 2015 models from the Point series have also been available with collets.
