The Suvamatic is a safety device for surface planers.

It covers the dangerous area above the planer shaft and thus, protects the hands of the operator from getting in contact with the shaft. For joining, the Suvamatic also offers the advantage of pressing the workpiece against the joining stop. It is possible to install the infeed in a way that the workpiece automatically lifts the cover during planing and lowers it again afterwards. In this version, the Suvamatic covers the entire planer shaft up to the stop.
