The slot boring device is an additional option for surface planers as well as for combination machines (combination of surface planer, thickness planer, circular sawing machine).

For this, a small table is attached at the side, under the planer shaft. The height of this table can be adjusted and it has got a clamping device. Additionally, a chuck with the respective drilling or milling tool has to be installed on the planer shaft. The diving in and the milling direction are then controlled by manual feeding devices (winders or levers).
