The wide belt sanders from Heesemann with cutter-block aggregates CU (alternative term cutter heads) are designed for high chip removal from massive wood workpieces like, for example, laminated wood. The chip flow is also guaranteed for very high chip removal of up to 4 mm per run.

Mode of operation

The cutter-block aggregate works on the basis of a planer shaft aggregate rotating with very high speeds. The individual cutters are designed as turn-plate planers and can be used on all 4 sides. Because of the special configuration of the turn-plates only a few cutters are used for cutting at the same time. Fine-sanding can be performed on the same machine immediately afterwards.

Application

The CU aggregate can be used as module within all Heesemann sanding machine series.
