In older tilted spindle moulders the spindle could often only be tilted between - 5° up to 'plus' 45°, modern machines often offer an adjustment range of - 45° up to 'plus' 45°. A wide tilt range backwards/in the direction of the spindle stop means:

• Safe working
• No limiting of the workpiece height
• Use of the feeding unit is possible without any problems
• Precise milling result
• Optimal exhaust of chips

Wider spindle tilt range forward

The router head of the spindle moulder (HOFMANN UFM 210) can be tilted between -45,5° and 'plus' 95,5°. Thus, profiling is possible, which, until then, has only been possible in moulders or spindle moulders with following reworking.
