Basic construction

Carriers (often made of metal) are mounted on parallel, circulating chain conveyors, pushing the material to be transported in front of them within a feed channel on an even surface (the conveyor bed).

Compared to conveyor belts, drag chain conveyor have several advantages - i.a.:

• Gluing on of the material is prevented, because the carriers continuously scrape off the conveyor bed
• No conveyor belt that could be damaged
• Horizontal, rising, vertical transportation possible
• Use also in other sectors (ashes, hot granulates, slags ...)
