Waste chute

Device on trimming saws, with the help of which leftovers/wood errors are retrieved immediately after cutting. In the simplest case, it is a fixed opening in the machine table, into which small leftovers fall. A more exact separation between "good" leftover (e.g. tenon lengths) and short waste piece is promised by technical solutions with manually adjustable openings of the waste gate.

A specialty can be found among the products of the machine manufacturer Dimter. Their optimization cross cut saws can be equipped with an automatic waste gate, the opening of which opens or closes during the cutting process depending on the workpiece length/length of the leftover.
