REICHENBACHER ARTIS

Series of CNC-machining centres especially for artisanry.

With introduction of the series Artis by Reichenbacher in 2003, the manufacturer broke with a tradition that lasted decades. For the first time since the 1980s a machining centre was built in the construction method of a cantilever machine again.

Despite the orientation towards artisanry and the market segment of inexpensive CNC-machining centres, the systems of Artis from the beginning were configurable relaitively freely after customer's wishes.

At market launch there were 4 basic types available, which differed in their configuration and the number of aggregates supports as well as the upgradeability. All machines as standard were equipped with C-axis resp. 5-axes spindle (Artis 5).

Sinumerik 810 D or 840 D were used as controls, the machine was programmed via software TwinCam.

2005 followed the reworking of the series. The second generation of the Artis series got the name Artis-X.
