Jump scoring

Aggregate on beam saws for the scoring of soft - and postforming edges.

In contrast to standard scoring aggregates (which usually only cut and approximately two mm deep) groove in a panel and therefore only process the surface of a panel, the postforming scoring aggregate rises briefly and divides the workpiece edge entirely. In this zone the main saw blade doesn't have to do any hogging work. The sensitive cutting edges remain untouched by the cutting forces of the main saw blade and therefore splinterfree.

The main saw blade doesn't need to perform chip removal work. The sensitive cutting edges remain untouched by the cutting forces of the main saw blade and therefore without tearing.

Edge-pre-scoring units or copy pre-scoring units are special forms additionally installed in the standard pre-scoring unit. This unit is located around the triangle. It has a copy roll in command, which goes along the workpiece edge and thus pre-scores the side edge of the post-forming- or soft-forming panel.
