ESA KVARA

Control, which was briefly used in the late 1990s on low-cost CNC machining centres of the SCM group.

The Kvara control was used as an integrated control without external separation of PLC and PC. It had a TFT screen with a Windows 95 interface and a membrane keyboard.

However, even at that time the hardware of the Windows PC range was not powerful enough, so programming could not be done at a level that was current for the late 1990s.

At the end of the 2000s, the Kvara control was again used in low-cost CNC machining centres of the SCM Group, but this time as a pure control unit (PLC) for the management of input and output signals, without a screen and keyboard.

A PC or industrial PC was used as the user interface and for managing and editing programmes.
