BIESSE BH 660

PC-based control for Biesse CNC machines.

The BH 660 was introduced in 2012 as the successor to the BIESSE XP 600 control together with new type designations of the BIESSE ROVER models.

However, there were already controllers from around 2010 that corresponded to the BH 660, but were still listed as "Windows PC Realtime controller" without a specific designation; the designation BH660 was also used sporadically from 2011.

At the same time, a WOP-software with extensive 3D functionalities was developed from scratch. The BH660 was originally developed as hardware for the new software. However, this was only introduced to the market some time later as BIESSE bSOLID, so that many machines exist with the BH 660 control and the older BIESSEWORKS software.

From 2016, the new control BIESSE bTouch was introduced. This is based on the BH660. However, the design was completely revised and the operation is optimised for a large touchscreen.

From around 2017, the machines with the BH 660 in the standard version were also adapted to the new design, so that the two variants of the control were basically only distinguishable by the monitor used.

Features

  • Windows PC on the machine
  • Real-time control of the interpolating axes
  • Special keys for activating the machine functions
  • Control via mobile operating console as an option
