Silent-POWER - Spiral blade cutterblock

Cutterblock system of the firm FELDER in which the usual planing knife is replaced by individual carbide tipped cutters, arranged in a spiral formation, similar to the HeliPlan-system by Leitz.

Advantages:

• up to zu 10 db less noise production
• longer cutting service life compared to conventional HSS-cutters
• if damaged (eg. by a foreign body), only one part of the carbide tipped cutters needs to be replaced or turned around
• lower input power due to a constant but reduced cutting force, resulting in a lower energy consumption

Use

Used in combinded surface / thickness planers, surface planers and thickness planing machines of FELDER, FORMAT 4 and HAMMER (Felder Group).
