Forerunner: Height- and inclination adjustment via manual wheel and adjustment via manual hydraulic pump (foot pedal).

At the beginning of the 1990s the term "ELMO" refered to "EL"ectro"MO"tive height- and inclination adjustment for the model types F 45 and F 90.

The variety of configurations and technical features continuously changed in the following years. Until the year 2005 the abbreviation "ELMO" was used for all models that had controlled parallel fence and possibly controlled lengthwise fence. Electromotive height- and inclination adjustment of the saw aggregat was standard at that time.

Around the year 2006 there was a fundamental revision of the F 45 series. ELMO-models got a new anthracite-grey colour; model F 45 (without ELMO equipment) remains unchanged in light green.
