The Weeke Quick Pod Set is an equipment package for CNC-machining centres, which allows the use of suction cups specifically on nesting machines.

In the case of universally applicable machines with matrix table closable openings are usually available for the vacuum, arranged in a matrix. It is often the case that this matrix is tailored to the size of the corresponding suction cup offered. If suction cups are to be used then it is possible to position these at any location on the machine table and they always cover at least one opening for the vacuum.

In the case of special nesting machines with matrix table it is often impractical to distribute numerous small openings across the machine table due to the very high volumetric vacuum flow. It is therefore customary to work with a few large openings. This means that it is no longer possible to use suction cups, which use the corresponding openings for the vacuum.

Solution with the Quick Pod Set

The Quick Pod Set comprises a selection of suction devices and vacuum distributors, which can be positioned on the large openings on nesting machines, as well as the hose material for distributing the vacuum to the suction devices. Furthermore, the extension set for the stop cylinders and the fastening materials for attaching the vacuum hoses to the machine table are also enclosed. In this way it is possible to freely position the suction devices on the machine table and supply these with vacuum via hoses.
