BOERE X-Line

X-Line describes a special sequence of aggregates in structuring brushing machines of the type SELECT B. In such machines the first aggregate is a cross sanding unit, followed by one or more brushing aggregates.

With the cross sanding unit the wood fibers are cutted transversally to the feed direction. The bristles of the brushing aggregate generate a structure longitudinally to the feed direction. Due to the oscillation of the brushes it runs in wavy lines. Because both structures are superimposed a X-shaped sanding pattern is generated.

As the specially-developed oscillation system is following the fibre orientation a stripe-free, slightly-glowing surfaces with soft feel is created.

With X-line it is possible to structure solid wood panels as well as veneered panels. This technical method was introduced first on the LIGNA 2013 in Hannover.
