Homag powerControl is a control concept of the Homag Group AG.

The concept has initially been introduced in 2003 with the introduction of WOODWOP 5.0 and the powerControl PC 85.

PowerControls used to be the name of only controls of CNC-machining centres, which are based on the ISGkernel of the ISG GmbH Stuttgart.

Though there has never been a clear word separation so that around the late 2000's powerControl used to describe both the control hardware as well as the control concept in the overall Homag group, without it necessarily being based on the ISGkernel software.

The powerControl systems are all similar in the opticial design of the respective machine generations.

With the introduction of the powerTouch surface the name powerControl has been used more for the control hardware and the concept.
