Scoring saw in vertical panel saws from the manufacturer HOLZ-HER

Principle

Before the saw cut of the main saw blade, 2 hard metal blades scarify the surface of the panel to be cut in the cutting width of the main saw blade. This ensures that the hard, brittle or fibrous surface does not rip at the cutting edges during the saw cut. (see also: SuperCut)

With the additional scoring unit it is possible to score surface layers during the return action - for example veneered panels - with the main saw blade, and then saw right through in a second step. (see also: TwinCut)
