BIESSE ATS

Machine table

Abbreviation for 'Advanced Table Setting'. A system developed by the company Biesse for positioning the suction cups on traverse tables of CNC machining centers.

Mode of Operation

The suction cups are manually positioned (unlike EPS). Loosening and clamping on the consoles are done pneumatically by pushing a button. The suction plates can be removed and put upon the suction cups in steps of 15° (angle). Furthermore, there is the combination of self-adjusting machines tables with angle adjustment of ATS suction cups. In this case it is an EPS table with ATS.

Distinction

  • At ATS, the suction cups have a green button on the aluminum carrier; at CTS a clamp lever.
  • At ATS, the suction plates can be easily removed. Underneath, there is a circle with teeth (15° spacing) into which the plates can be inserted.
  • Optionally the equipment with other clamping devices is possible. (Biesse UNICLAMP)
