A compressor produces pressurised air by compressing air that has been sucked in. It is available in stationary versions as part of a compressed air system as well as in mobile versions. In this case, the compressor is often firmly connected to a compressed air tank on a frame. Important characteristics are the working pressure and the delivery rate (volume flow).
