BIESSE ROVER 24

Short description

In 2001, the series Rover 24/Rover 22 was introduced as successor of the Rover 23. These were machines, which should provide a relatively good equipment for a comparatively low price. When it was discontinued in 2005, a modular concept with various model versions and sizes had already been introduced.

Equipment

Working range 3.060 x 1.300 mm. When it was introduced, the machine had a basic configuration with 14 vertical drills, 6 horizontal drills, router head with 7.5 kW, groove saw traversable by 90 degrees, 6-fold tool changer as well as standard c-axis.

2 basic configurations

When it was discontinued in 2005, a variety of basic configurations of the machine table as well as two versions of basic configurations of the aggregates support existed. The machine table existed in the following versions:

  • S (3.060 mm)
  • L (4.500 mm)
  • XL (6.170 mm)

There were different special clamping units like ATS or Uniclamp.

Furthermore, one could choose between 3 different types of controls

There was also offered a model with matrix table (Rover 24FT), with machine table sizes of

  • S (3.100 mm)
  • XL (6.170 mm)

The machine was also offered with a lot of equipment suitable for nesting.

Special features

The successful machines of the Rover series (Biesse Rover 20 and Biesse Rover 24) were renamed Biesse Artech Pluris 20 and Biesse Artech Pluris 24 in 2003 for marketing reasons, although a new model concept had already been developed.
