BIESSE ROVER 36
As the largest model of the Rover series and at that time the only portal machine, the CNC machining center was introduced by Biesse at the end of the 1980s. At the beginning of the 1990s it was replaced by the models Rover 342 and Rover 346.
Working range 3.200 x 1.390 mm, control CNI with floppy disc drive and a very simple graphical programming assistant. The basic equipment only consisted of a pur point-to-point drilling machine with 23 vertical spindled and 8 horizontal spindles.
Up to 2 milling spindles with 5.5 kW could be installed - optionally with morse taper MK2 or solid collet holder. Furthermore, there was the option to install a groove saw, a slot hole aggregate as well as various feeding and clamping tools and even a through feed device.
