BIESSE ROVER 316

Short description

CNC-machining centre, which was introduced as successor of the Biesse Rover 16 in 1991. The series was expanded by another, larger model - the Biesse Rover 325. It was an almost entirely new development with new design and new control.

Equipment

Working range 2.200 x 852 mm, drilling unit with 17 vertical drills, 6 horizontal drills, 2 free spots which could be equipped with a router head with 5.5 kW and Morse taper MK2 as well as a groove saw traversable by 90 degrees. The machine was equipped with the, at the time of introduction, extremely far-developed control CNi RT480CNC, which had a color display and extensive graphics capabilities.

As model version 316/L, a version with 2 aggregates supports as well as a through-feed device for integration into production lines and an increased capacity existed.
