Short description

Portal machine, which was introduced by Biesse in the late 1980s and produced until 1993.

Basic equipment

Working range 3.210 x 1.000 mm (optional 1.350 mm), workpiece thickness for all processes of a maximum of 50 mm, control CNi. Since 1991, the then very advanced control CNi RT 480 CNC was used, which already had a VGA display, had several advanced programming options and could be operated via network connections with the software RoverCad.

Furthermore, the machine had 27 vertical drilling spindles, 6 drilling spindles horizontal in X, 4 drilling spindles horizontal in Y, 3 free spaces for mounting: milling motors with 5.5 - 6.6 kW, tool holder Morse taper MK2, hydraulic chuck, groove saw, groove saw traversable by 90 degrees, horizontal router head, thickness scanner, insertion unit for dowels and fittings. Several clamping systems as well as a through-feed device were available as well.

Since 1991, an additional working spindle with ISO30 tool holder as well as a pickup tool changer with up to 15 exchange positions were available.
