BIESSE ROVER 464

Short description

Portal machine, which Biesse introduced on the market in 1990 as the largest and heaviest machine of the Rover series. The production was discontinued in 2000, because after the company Protec was taken over, the heavy portal machines Arrow and Excel were available.

Equipment

The Biesse Rover 464 had 2 aggregates supports, each with its own Y-axis, in the basic configuration. In this way, two rows of holes could be drilled simultaneously or front and rear edges of the workpiece could be formatted.

The machine had a working range of 3.210 x 1.300 mm with a maximum workpiece thickness of 50 mm for all processes. The RT480CNC was used as control - later, also the CNi XNC was available.
